If you do not currently do business on the Net and do not have a merchant account, you have a couple of options. Setting up a merchant account is something you will want to do eventually as you make money - but it is time consuming (like, a couple of weeks) to get the whole thing approved and set up, no matter WHAT the vendors tell you. I KNOW! The goal here is to get you started making money NOW!

PAYPAL. (Free option).

If you have no money to start your business, you can use PayPal - One of the biggest “Personal Payment” sites online today. To use them, just go to their website www.paypal.com and sign up for a FREE account. To use them in this business, you tell the customer to go to PayPal (give them the URL) and fill out a one page sign up form to set up their own account. Then give them your email address, and when they enter it, they can send money right to your account. You will receive an email telling you that money has been added to your account, and by whom. You can then ask PayPal to either send you a check or deposit it directly into your bank account! The customer can pay by credit card, debit card, or sending in an actual check. PayPal also has a webaccept feature which will allow your customer to click on the PayPal icon which you place on your webpage.

Additionally, PayPal is open to international customers (one of disadvantages of Paypal - they have some country restrictions).

PayPal offers three types of accounts: Personal, Premier, and Business. Premier account is preferable (is possible to receive any type of payment, including credit cards). Type of payment accepted: Major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Bank transfers PayPal account balance Advantage - Paypal supports recurring (subscriptions) payments. ALERTPAY. (Free option, use it if you can not open paypal account from your country).

The new option which develops fast and is similar like Paypal is Alertpay. Unlike Paypal, Alertpay don’t have country restrictions - it is available worldwide. Alertpay account holders are able to send or receive funds to/from anyone with an e-mail address. You are notified instantly via e-mail when someone sends funds to your account. Alertpay offers a variety of funding options, such as, by credit card, check (cheque), money order, e-Gold. Use one of the following methods to withdraw funds from your AlertPay account: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT/ACH) Bank Wire AlertPay will send wire money to your bank account Bank Transfer Receive a direct deposit to your bank account. Postal Deposit Check AlertPay will send you a check in the mail E-Currencies E-Gold Transfer your AlertPay funds to E-gold.

ClickBank. (now possible for free, not all countries are accepted).

ClickBank basically lets you use THEIR merchant account - and they hold the money and send it to you twice a month. Sales made from the 1st to the 15th of the month are paid out by check the NEXT month after the 1st, so there is some lag time. International customers can use ClickBank, AND it looks very professional. There are no monthly fees and you can be set up with them in five minutes. Additionally, as you will learn in month 3, ClickBank will provide free administration and payment of your affiliate program! ClickBank customers can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Eurocard, Bravo, Diners Club, Carte Blanche, JCB, online checks, and PayPal. ClickBank take a small percentage of every sale as a processing fee. Recurring payments are not possible with Clickbank. You can find all details at:
